Well... sometimes we do not know the right way, and it's cool you're helping your classmates do it right (or say it right)
However, I suggest you make clear the difference between what not to say and what to say(and if possible "why"). Something like:
Don't say: "What time does the film starts?" Say: "What time does the film start?"... and a short explanation: Remember that tenses in English are formed by conjugating an auxiliary verb plus a standard form of the principal verb.
See what I mean?
